Jeff Whitfield secured 2019 Gateway PGA OMEGA Player of the Year with his regular-division win at the Players Championship at Meadowbrook Country Club on Monday, October 21st. Whitfield carded an even-par-72 to win the event, his first victory of the season.
Whitfield’s 2019 season featured the victory at the Players Championship, six top-3 finishes and 12 top-10 finishes to round out his Player of the Year campaign.
In addition to his regular-division accolades, Whitfield also secured the Senior Player of the Year with the victory.
David Levine, entered in the Senior & Super-Senior Divisions at the Players Championship, carded a 2-under-par 70 at Meadowbrook and took home the hardware in both Divisions.
Levine’s win in the Super-Senior Division locked in his bid for Super-Senior Player of the Year and gave him his sixth victory in that division for 2019.
