The Gateway PGA hosted the Pro Staff presented by Maui Jim at Lake Forest Country Club on Monday, July 22. The 121-person field is the largest in the history of the event. The event featured a three-way tie at 64 (-8) between teams of Brian McMurray + Micahel Weirich (Bone Valley Golf Club), Brett Moomey + Zane Roberts (Algonquin Golf Club), and RC Martin + Brady Kaufmann (Sunset Hills Country Club).
McMurray + Weirich played an impressive round with a -5 back-nine with birdies on holes 10, 11, 12, 17, and 18. On the 500-yard par-5 ninth, Weirch finished with an eagle to help them to a tie for the title.
Moomey + Roberts and Martin + Kaufmann shot -3 on the front and -5 on the back with birdies on eight different holes.
