The Girls & Boys Junior PGA Championships will be at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. The Boys Championship is scheduled for July 13th-16th and the Girls Championship is scheduled for July 28th – July 31st. Each year the Gateway PGA Junior Tour hosts a qualifier (June 1st & 2nd @ Spencer T. Olin) for one boy and one girl to advance to the Junior PGA Championship.

Each Section also receives an additional boy and girl at-large spot into their respective Championships.

For the Boys Race to the Junior PGA Championship, the Gateway PGA Junior Tour will host FOUR 2-Day events that occur before the Boys Championship. Those FOUR events along with the Gateway Junior PGA Championship Qualifier will be used to select the second qualifier for the Boys division (listed below).

In order to qualify for the Junior PGA Championship, you must be a Gateway PGA Junior Tour MEMBER. Players in the Tour Boys, 18 Hole 16-19 Boys, 18 H 14-15 Boys, Tour Girls, and 18 H 15-19 Girls will be eligible to qualify for the extra spots. (ANY boys that are in the 12-13 division and wish to qualify must play-up in the events hosted at, Gateway National, Spencer T. Olin, Crescent Farms GC, and The Quarry. Any girls that are in  the 12-14 division must also play-up in the events at Gateway National, Spencer T. Olin, Crescent Farms, The Quarry, and Glen Echo).

All of the events (listed above) will have an overall division that will be used to award points for the ‘Race to the Junior PGA Championship (all players will be able to earn points towards their respective POY races as well). The extra girl qualifying spot will be awarded to the girl junior that has the most points from their 3 best finishes (do not need to play in all 5 events to qualify). The extra boy qualifying spot will be awarded to the boy junior that has the most points from their 2 best finishes (do not need to play in all 4 events to qualify).

Points System
Top 10 Overall (members only) in these four events will receive points. The only exception will be the Overall winner of the Junior PGA Championship Qualifier will receive an automatic exemption and will be taken out of the point race. The points will be as follows:
1st – 25 points
2nd – 20 points
3rd – 15 points
4th – 12 points
5th – 8 points
6th – 6 points
7th – 5 points
8th – 4 points
9th – 3 points
10th – 2 points

Tie-breakers
1. Head-to-Head results
2. Scoring average of two best finishes
3. Best finish in the 3rd event
4. Best finish in the 4th event
5. Total POY points (if players are from the same division)
6. Best single round in a head to head
a. If the score is the same will use the USGA recommended tiebreaker for that specific score to break the tie
7. Playoff to be determined by the Gateway PGA Junior Committee agreed upon by both players
