The Gateway PGA held its 36-Hole Stroke Play event on Monday, July 20, at the Country Club of Missouri, where players faced 36 holes of competition on one of the Section’s most demanding tournament venues. The event produced impressive performances throughout the field as competitors battled for victories and valuable Player of the Year points.
Kyle Szyhowski, PGA of Norwood Hills Country Club led the way in the Regular Division, posting rounds of 68 and 69 to finish at 7-under-par 137. His consistent play over both rounds secured the victory and added another impressive performance to the season for the reigning 2025 Gateway PGA Regular Division Player of the Year.
Matt Gindler, PGA of Greenbriar Hills Country Club captured the Senior Division victory after carding rounds of 70 and 69 to finish at 5-under-par 139. Gindler closed with a 3-under-par second round to finish atop the senior leaderboard.
The Super Senior Division concluded with a tie for first, as Nash Haxel, PGA of The Quarry at Crystal Springs and Paul Leahy, PGA of The Oaks Golf Course at Margaritaville Lake Resort each shot 2-over-par 74 to share top honors.
The Country Club of Missouri once again provided a challenging test for the Gateway PGA field, rewarding consistency and strong play across 36 holes. With another successful stroke play event complete, the Section’s tournament season continues to build momentum as players compete for victories throughout the summer.
