The Gateway PGA kicked off its tournament season in exciting fashion at Greenbriar Hills Country Club for the Quad Pro, presented by Fairways to Heaven and StrackaLine. Gideon Smith (Quincy Country Club), Ryan McClintock (Panther Creek Country Club), Emily Van Rie (Quincy Country Club), and Jon Roberson (Quincy Country Club) took the title with an impressive score of 130 (-12). Two strokes behind them were The Quarry at Crystal Springs team, consisting of Nash Haxel, Jeff Whitfield, Mark Faulkner, and Curtis Brokenbrow, as well as the Bellerive Country Club team of Michael Tucker, Brian Fogt, Sophie Faulkner, and Randy Kruleski at 132 (-10).
Kyle Szyhowski (Norwood Hills Country Club) took home the TNT Shootout title putting a 139-yard downwind shot within six-feet. His tight shot wins him a Yamaha Golf Car for a year provided by TNT Golf Car & Motorsports.
Smith and McClintock shot 6 under, including an impressive 4 under on the back nine. Not to be outdone, Van Rie and Roberson carded a tournament-best 6 under on the front nine while shooting even par on the back of the card.
Thank you to David Reed from Fairways to Heaven and Tim Koehler of StrackaLine for their support of the Section. Additionally, thanks to Matt Gindler and the Greenbriar Hills Country Club staff for hosting the Spring Membership Meeting and the Quad Pro.
