The Gateway PGA’s Stroke Play 2 at Westwood Country Club featured dramatic finishes across multiple divisions, including playoffs in both the Regular and Super Senior divisions.
The Regular Division saw four players finish tied at even par, as Blake Sharamitaro, PGA, Matt Gindler, PGA, Brian Coe, PGA, and Mike Suhre, PGA all carded rounds of 72 to force a playoff.
After the playoff field narrowed to Sharamitaro and Coe, the two battled through five playoff holes before Sharamitaro secured the victory and claimed the Regular Division title.
Gindler, who was also part of the four-man playoff, earned the Senior Division title after his even-par round gave him a three-stroke victory in the division.
The Super Senior Division also needed extra holes to determine a champion, with Bob Gaus, PGA, Michael Tucker, PGA, and Jeff Whitfield, PGA finishing tied at the top of the leaderboard. Gaus ultimately came away with the playoff victory to claim the division title.
Family Golf and Learning Center was well represented at Westwood, with Sharamitaro and Gaus each capturing division titles for the facility.
