FULL RESULTS

The Gateway PGA Section Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac concluded on Tuesday, August 2. Bob Gaus of Family Golf and Learning Center won the two day event with a score of 138 (-4). Gaus, along with Nash Haxel (The Quarry at Crystal Springs), Brian Fogt (Bellerive Country Club) and Jeff Whitfield (The Quarry at Crystal Springs) secured berth to the Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac on October 13-16th at Twin Warriors & Santa Ana Golf Clubs in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Day one started with Hausmann of Tapawingo Golf Club hitting a hole in one on the second hole. After day one of play Haxel led with a score of 66 (-5) with Hausmann a stroke behind. Jimmy Bals (Forest Hills Country Club) sat in third while Fogt and Gaus rounded out the top-five.

Gaus used a great front nine on day two to bolster him in the standings. He shot three under, three shots better than round one. After the turn he knocked in for par on eight of the nine holes. The only outlier was the par-three 17 where he tapped in for birdie.
