LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO. (MAY 14, 2018) – Monday’s Pro-Sr. Pro-Am sponsored by Antigua Golf just barely beat out the rain and lightning that swept through the area as the final golfers entered the clubhouse.

Strong winds, heavy rain and a smattering of thunder capped the day but it wasn’t enough to spoil the round. We had three flights and a pro purse with groups of one professional paired with three amateurs over the age of 50 playing the two best balls of four at Lake Forest Country Club.

Jeff Whitfield and Brandon Veld tied with a 3-under 69 to win and split the pro purse. Whitfield and Veld both made five birdies.

A FLIGHT
The team of Rob Sedorcek, Ron Davis, Jim Morton and Denny Osborne won the flight with a 17-under 127. Close behind was the group of Michael Tucker, Mel Rector, Tom Portner and David LaGrand which tied for second place with the Jeff Whitfield, Jim Mauer, Jeff Sami and Dick Marsh group at 16-under 128.

B FLIGHT
Brett Moomey, Steve Hicks, Gary Daugherty and Bruce Lockett took first in their flight by scoring a 16-under 128. Finishing in sole possession of second place was Brian Fogt, Whity Meyer, Rick Meyer and Dino Vainalis with a 15-under 129.

C FLIGHT
Taking first place in this flight was Brandon Coffey, Tom Stern, Tom Kolbrener and Buddy Kolbrener with a 16-under 128. Right behind in second place was JR Rotarius, Greg Schwartz, Rob Pagano and Bill Drege with a 14-under 130.
