PINK. A color that resonates with many people who have been impacted by its significance. Throughout the month of October you can see pink ribbons, fundraiser banners, walks, pink football cleats, and other pink imagery all with a common goal: to educate about the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. Kevin Dunn, the head professional at Jefferson City Country Club, put his own spin to raise awareness with a campaign he is a part of called #realmenwearpink. Part of the campaign was a guest day golf tournament at Jefferson City Country Club, where all of the guest fees and cart fees were donated.  In addition, various pink items were for sale in the pro shop, and all profits from those items were donated as well. For three years now, Kevin’s individual goal has been $2,500 and every year he has surpassed that amount. This year Kevin raised $3,100+; his best year thus far. There are currently 40+ gentlemen that are a part of this campaign and together they have raised over $83,000 this year. In addition to the outstanding funds raised, Kevin Dunn chose to wear the color pink everyday during the month of October.  Thank you Kevin for your role in bringing awareness and raising funds for those whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.
