ASSISTANT PLAYER OF THE YEAR: David Abolt
The 2019 Assistant Player of the Year is David Abolt from The Country Club of St. Albans. David graduated from Cuba High School (Cuba MO) where he received all state honors his last 3 years. He graduated from the University of Missouri – St Louis, where he played collegiate golf. David received all conference honors his freshman year at UMSL. After a car accident David broke his arm his sophomore year of college and couldn’t play golf for 2 years. After graduation David joined the PGA of America. He was employed at Crescent Farms Golf Club as the first assistant for Chris Nava in 2016 and 2017. In the spring of 2018 David started working at the Country Club of St. Albans under Joe Schwent and works at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie for the winter season.
