Curtis Brokenbrow (The Quarry) and Will Postlethwaite (Norwood Hills Country Club) captured the Sterling Cut Glass Team Championship at Dalhousie Golf Club on Monday, July 28, with a two-round score of 127 (62-65). They edged Michael Tucker and Tom Portner (Bellerive Country Club) by two strokes.
The Brokenbrow-Postlethwaite pairing started on hole 3 with a birdie from Brokenbrow. After a bogey on 4, the duo went 9-under over the next 14 holes before closing the round with a pair of pars.
Down by one stroke to Tucker and Fogt, Brokenbrow and Postlethwaite shot 3-under on the front and 4-under on the back to pull ahead by two strokes as the two teams completed the round together.
Jackson Wetherbee (GolfTec Clayton) won the TNT Golf Car Shootout by putting his tee shot 13 inches from the hole on the 167-yard, par-3 11th.
