Kyle Szyhowski (Norwood Hills Country Club) claimed victory at the 2025 Gateway PGA Professional Championship at Panther Creek Country Club, earning a qualifying spot for the National PGA Professional Championship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in April 2026. Joining Szyhowski in Oregon will be Ryan McClintock (Panther Creek Country Club), Mike Suhre (Oak Brook Golf Course), and Brett Moomey (Algonquin Golf Course).
Szyhowski set the pace early with a stellar opening-round 67, putting him atop the leaderboard heading into Day 2. He followed it with a steady 73 to complete the wire-to-wire win.
McClintock and Suhre finished with two-day totals of 142 to claim two of the other three qualifying spots, with McClintock surging up the board thanks to an impressive 69 on the final day. Moomey recorded what turned out to be a much-needed hole-in-one on the 11th hole during Round 1. He tied with Matt Gindler (Greenbriar Hills Country Club) at 143 after two rounds, forcing a playoff for the final spot.
After tying the first playoff hole, Moomey delivered a clutch approach with his pitching wedge to 13 feet. Gindler gave his 20-foot putt a run but missed. Moomey then tapped his downhill putt, which caught enough of the left edge and fell in to secure his trip to Bandon Dunes.
The four qualifiers will represent the Gateway PGA this April in a 312-player field at Bandon Dunes, competing for a place on the Corebridge Financial PGA Team and an invitation to the PGA Championship. Players will face two cuts during the National PPC, with only the top performers advancing. If Szyhowski, McClintock, Suhre or Moomey make the cut, they will move one step closer to the highest level of PGA competition.
