The Family Golf and Learning Center swept all three trophies at the Gateway PGA Section Stroke play event at Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, Illinois on Monday, September 19. Blake Sharamintaro won the regular division while Bob Gaus won the senior and super senior division.

Sharamintaro shot an impressive 69 (-3) on the hilly course, two strokes ahead of Nash Haxel (The Quary at Crystal Springs) and Gideon Smith (Quincy Country Club). With the shotgun start Sharamintaro and Haxel both started at hole six. Sharamintaro was consistent through seven holes with an even score. He was able to use a pair of great shots on 13 and 14 to birdie both holes to move to two-under. As the round continued he recorded four consecutive pars before birdying the first hole and ending his round with five more pars.

Gaus, also shot a 69 (-3) started play on the 18th hole and parred the first hole. As he made the turn to the first tee he focused in and shot four under through the next six holes. Throughout his last 12 holes Gaus was fairly steady as he parred 11 of the 12 to finish three-under for the round.

The Gateway PGA section would like to thank Sunset Hills Country Club and Jon DePriest for hosting the stroke play event.
