The Gateway PGA hit the road to Jefferson City Country Club on Monday, June 19 for the 36 Hole Stroke Play event. Taking home the regular division title was Sam Lee (Spencer T. Olin GC) with a total score of 139 (-5) with rounds of 71 (-1) and 68 (-4). The senior and super senior division played 18 holes where Kevin Triefenbach (Tapawingo National GC) was even, 72, in the senior and Mark Faulkner (Lake of Egypt CC) shot 73 (+1) in the super senior group. 

After shooting 71 in the first round, Lee improved his scoring by three to shoot four under. In the afternoon shotgun Lee, who started on two, a hole which he birdied in the morning. He replicated the result while birdieing three, 12, 15 and one.

Triefenbach had a back-and-forth round as he started on 11. Through hole 18 he was sitting at one under. As he came down his last nine holes he recorded three birdies, two pars and four bogeys to move to even. Gideon Smith (Quincy CC) tied Triefenbach after 18 but fell in a scorecard playoff. 

Faulkner had a solid round as his scorecard had three birdies and 11 pars as he finished his round with a 73 (+1).
