Established in 1901, Glen Echo is the oldest continuously operating country club and golf course in the same location west of the Mississippi River. The world-renowned Club hosted the Olympic Golf Championships in 1904 and is also the world’s oldest continuously operating Olympic venue.

The 1904 Olympic Games began the tradition of the Club hosting prestigious competitive golf events. Later this year, the Club will host its third Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) event on August 8-10. The two past winners, Marcus Byrd and Brad Adamonis, (pictured), received exemptions to the World Wide Technologies PGA Tour stop in Mexico.

PGA of America Member Morgan Gonzales has served as the club’s General Manager since February.  His hire represents a change as he is the first PGA Member to be employed at the Club in over ten years. Gonzales is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he played was on two of the best teams in program history. In 2012 the 1992 & 1993 teams were inducted UMSL’s Athletic Hall of Fame for recording back-to-back top-15 at the National Championship.
