Chris Ferris (Algonquin Golf Club) recorded 26 Stableford points at Bogey Hills Country Club to take the Regular and Assistant Division titles in Stroke Play #1 presented by Flash Weather AI and Golf with Jay Delsing on Monday, April 14. Bob Gaus (Family Golf and Learning Center) took home the Senior and Super Senior trophies, also with 26 points. Emily Van Rie continued her winning streak in the Ladies Division, extending her title count to five.
Starting on the 15th hole, Ferris sat with three points as he headed to Hole 1. From there, he sharpened his focus, shooting four under with four birdies and five pars to record 17 points—the most of any player on the front nine. Sitting four points behind in both the Regular and Assistant Divisions was Devin Liberty (Westwood Country Club), who recorded 10 points on the front nine and 12 on the back.
Gaus showed consistency throughout the 18 holes, scoring 14 points on the front nine and 12 on the back. He was one of only two players to eagle the 472-yard par-5 fifth hole, which netted him six points.
David Levine won the TNT Shootout on Hole 2 with an impressive shot to 4 feet and 7 inches from the pin.
Thank you to Flash Weather AI and Golf with Jay Delsing for supporting the Stableford Stroke Play event. Thanks also to Ryan Roy and the Bogey Hills staff for hosting the event.
