Blake Sharamitaro wins Stroke Play #1 at Norwood Hills Country Club

Blake Sharamitaro won his first Gateway PGA Section event on Monday, April 22^nd at Stroke Play #1 at Norwood Hills Country Club. Sharamitaro (Family Golf & Learning Center) finished with a 1-under 68 and birdied four times in his round to win by two strokes on a windy day at the East Course at Norwood Hills Country Club, which covers 6,019 yards.

Following Sharamitaro in the Regular Division was Matt Gindler (Greenbriar Hills) & Mike Suhre (Oak Brook GC) who tied for second place at 1-over 70.

While Sharamitaro took home the Regular Division, Jeff Whitfield (The Quarry at Crystal Springs) won the Senior Division with a 3-over 72 and also won the Super-Senior Division on a playoff against Garth Bayer (Old Warson CC) & Steve Heckel (Crab Orchard GC).

Stroke Play #2 is almost a month away. The second Stroke Play event is on Tuesday, May 28^th at The Legends Country Club. The deadline to enter is May 23^rd.
