Web.com Lincoln Land Championship Military Day
On Friday June 14th the Web.com Lincoln Land Memorial Championship hosted a “Military Day” where PGA HOPE military veterans participated in a golf clinic hosted in conjunction with the golf tournament. The Gateway PGA Section was the “Military Day” sponsor, showing support for PGA HOPE and veterans efforts while at the tournament hosted at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield IL.
Led by one of our PGA Professionals and Veteran Sam Gilliand, Veterans got the chance to “test their skills” on the range and then enjoy the tournament afterwards. Veterans also volunteered during the week and were “inside the ropes” while golf’s future stars took stage in our backyard.
