14 Local Golf Instructors Become Certified PGA HOPE Adaptive Golf Certified
On Friday, October 18th, the Gateway PGA REACH Foundation and Sunset Country Club hosted PGA HOPE Adaptive Golf Training for 14 local PGA & LPGA Professionals and instructors. Completing Adaptive Golf Training is a requirement for golf professionals to become certified to teach at PGA HOPE golf clinics. The training includes a full-day seminar on education of military conduct and hands-on Adaptive Golf Techniques for effectively teaching golf to veterans with physical, emotional, and psychological disabilities.
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of the PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to active duty military and military veterans to enhance their physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being through 6-8 week golf development programs taught by local PGA Professionals. PGA HOPE programs are free to all active-duty military and military veterans.
