Roger Champan & Ozzie Smith Pay Visit to PGA REACH Program

Gateway PGA Foundation President and baseball legend, Ozzie Smith, welcomed defending Senior PGA Champion, Roger Champan, to North St Louis on Monday, April 22nd.  The St. Louis golfing community is leading the way for the PGA REACH initiative which is leveraging the Championships, coming to St. Louis, in an effort to keep kids in school.  Programing and support is already taking place that will impact the youth of Urban K-Life, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, and the St. Louis Public Schools.  Smith and Chapman took a hands on approach, along side local Gateway PGA Professionals, to introduce eager youth to a game they both love. Media Day took place at Bellerive Country Club where Mr. Chapman was able to get his first preview of the course where he will look to defend his title.
