The Gateway PGA presents the following special awards to recognize the outstanding performances and superior achievements of PGA Professionals.  Emphasis is placed on the individual achievements over the course of their career with particular emphasis on the current year. The awards are presented to recognize extraordinary accomplishments both on and off the course.

President's Plaque Award

This prestigous award is given to a member or individual who has shown an exceptional effort in growing the game of golf.

  • Support of Sectional/National growth of the game programs.
  • Proven ability to provide opportunities and experience for growth of the game
  • Recognized as someone of outstanding character

President's Award Criteria:

1.    Criteria to Measure
a.    Involvement in the promotion and development of growth at the club level and/or within the community.
b.    Support of the Gateway PGA Junior Golf Programs including Gateway Junior Tournament, Foundation In-School Program, Play Golf America, and/or other Junior Golf effort.
c.    Overall image, service and leadership.
d.    Overall integrity as an individual and acceptance by golfers as a person of outstanding character.
2.    Selection Process
a.    Nomination should be based on a candidate’s entire past experience and commitment for continuing one’s contributions and assistance.
b.    Achievements during the past five years should be emphasized.
c.    Gateway Awards Committee will select a recipient based on the criteria.
