Education

Nathan Charnes
Education Chairman

Education Proposed Action Plan 2010

In order for education to be successful on the Section level, we will have to have support and execution from a committee that is geographically located throughout the Section. The goal is to have a committee of 7-8 Class A Members and/or Apprentices in good standing from the following regions:

                Central Illinois
                Southern Illinois
                St Louis
                Western St. Louis
                Southern Missouri
                Columbia/Jefferson City
                Lake of the Ozarks

The seminar host will determine topics for each seminar, as well as the presenter. All topics will, however, be approved by the Chairman in order to provide diversity in topics across the Section. Geographically placing committee members and seminars will also provide a level playing field for the seminar aspect of the Education Bonus Pool.

We will continue to offer the same seminars that have been successful through the years, however, each committee member will be asked to bring new and fresh ideas to the Section. Committee members are also asked to promote their seminars to help increase support and participation.

Example of topics held in the past are:
                Merchandising
                Golf History in St Louis
                Rules of Golf
                Calligraphy
                Golf & Fitness
                Customer Service
Food & Beverage Strategies for Success
                Teaching
Getting Through the PGA PGM Program
                Salesmanship
                Running Great Events

Please contact me if you would like to get involved or have ideas for the 2010 Education Year.

Thank you!
